The Differences in Reactions
Have you ever wondered how a doctor in the emergency room can survive the constant crisis? How a soldier can battle on in the most gory circumstances? How a saint can be in peace while people are arguing? How some people don't take things "personally"? How is it that one person has had a wonderful childhood but is still traumatised by one thing his parents might have done to him, whereas someone else is able to let go of terrible abuse and smile?
It has to do with the person's energetic structure. The energetic structure is in turn, largely based on what the person has stored in his/her energetic body. This includes beliefs, attitudes, emotions, memories etc.
Since all these are energy, it follows that we can change them. When we stop carrying these burdens, the sense of relief is palpable. This opens us up to greater joy in our lives.
As our way of responding and seeing things changes dramatically, we also feel more empowered and alive.
Where has that Wonderful Feeling after the Energetic Clearing Gone?
Many of us are familiar with the feeling of clarity, relief and joy that we feel after we do some energy clearing. However, that is not always the case. Sometimes, especially when the clearing is deep and relates to key ways in which the person defined himself/herself e.g. key relationships to others, scarcity etc, after the clearing (usually after a couple of hours or a day or two) we might feel empty, lost or "low". It just does not feel good or right. At this time, many are likely to stop what they are doing, especially as the difference between their current state and the relief they had felt during the session, is so huge. Hence, they assume that it is not working for them. After all, are they not feeling pretty uncomfortable? That cannot possibly be how it is supposed to work!
The reality is often quite different. What they are often experiencing is “space” - whereas previously it was “full”. So now, yes, they are "empty" i.e. empty of whatever they had chosen to clear during the session.
We are so used to being “full” that when we have space, it feels uncomfortable and we tend to judge it as “wrong” i.e. we should not be feeling this way.
These feelings of emptiness are also often a sign that we are “moving” i.e. we are in transition from one frequency to another. Until we get grounded in the new frequency, there might be a feeling of “loss” (yes, we can feel that for unresourceful things moving out of our lives too) and vacillation as we are not fully into the new frequency as yet and nor do we "belong" to the old. In such cases, we are experiencing a temporary “loss of identity”. If you consider that the old identity was not serving you, you can see that this feeling is actually an indication of a potentially positive movement. It simply feels empty, lonely, strange etc so you judge it based on past programming i.e. it is wrong, bad or incorrect to feel this way. So, when you move energy and it is not fully replaced for whatever reason, or more continues to move as part of the process, you might feel like this.
How soon you become conscious of this depends on factors such as the technique and intention i.e. how much emphasis was put on positive vs. the negative. For example, in EFT (www.emofree.com), you can tap on the negative and the positive. Did you do plenty of positive statements? Or did you only focus primarily on the negative? Also, when we use such techniques, the healing does not end with the session. We actually start a process of change. That is why people may not feel anything during a session but if they are aware, they might notice that their reactions, responses and feelings have changed … and they might notice this only a few months later. Or, they might not notice it at all and assume that nothing happened (and sometimes, truly "nothing" might happen if there was a lot of internal resistance).
Hence, more energy is likely to continue to move after the session and at that time you may not be consciously putting in the positive.
Earlier, you were trying to drink warm tea by pouring hot tea into a teacup that was already full of cold tea. So the change was slow and it was not easy to get your tea to the temperature that you wanted. With some of the Energetic Stress-Relief techniques, you are emptying out the cold tea. Then, in that empty cup, you have the option of filling it to the brim with piping hot tea … or not. It is a choice.
So when you feel this way after you have worked on yourself or with a practitioner, realize that it is space. It holds the potential for further growth as you can choose to put in whatever you want i.e. conscious manifestation. But you do need to decide what you want to fill it with. Just leaving it as is, would allow any old thing into it. It is typically the way we have operated since birth i.e. like sponges.
Hence, when you feel that way, you can use a technique of your choice (e.g. EFT) on:
- This feeling of …..
-This feeling that I have right now …
-This despair that I feel when I look at my life now.
If you do that, this is likely to clear – for the moment. You will probably have to do it again at various times. Each time you do it, it will be a gift to yourself of loving and appreciating yourself and the path of change you are taking. It is also likely that when you look back on yourself after a few months or a few years, you will realize that during the period of time when you faced so much of this “being lost” while you were working on yourself and it made you feel “wrong” and like a failure, you were actually during a very active growth period. You will see this clearly from your new vantage point!
So do drop the judgment that you should feel fantastic all the time and it is "bad" if you are not feeling all as good as you were earlier after you did the energetic clearing. Know that you are simply in a space for new possibilities and choices. It is a place of potential.
Free Time!
Free Time! While many people crave free time, many are just as busy trying to get jobs as they have too much free time. Many mention how, when they have free time, they get depressed, and hence would rather be "doing" something.
When we notice this, we realize that the issue then cannot be "free time". The issue is really that our minds are not fully occupied and hence running wild. They are going into thoughts that do not make us feel good. That is all! In modern society, we are taught to focus and concentrate from a very young age e.g. school. However, we have not been taught how to manage the mind. And the mind is a tool, a servant. Make it the master (which is the case for most of us), and we could end up with a mess. That is the reason we keep trying to be “busy” and when we have “space/time”, it often feels uncomfortable after a while. We simply not comfortable with being peaceful!
Hence, it is important to understand that free time is “space”. It is space where your mind is creating whatever it wants and that is reflected in your emotional and physical reality.
One can be alone but not lonely. We are perfect – but perfectionism can be a method of self-criticism ...and so on. So what we see is that almost anything can be “good” or “bad”. It depends on where it is in the spectrum and how we perceive it. So we do not need our lives “full” or "empty"! We need them “full of fulfillment”!! And fulfillment is a state of being – not an action.
Hence, the key is that we all need is discrimination - the discrimination that comes from a deeper connection to our inner wisdom. And, from there comes a state of Beingness. In such a state, action takes place anyway. In fact, we cannot live without action. Action and movement is essential to life and we are not going to try to escape that! But with the calming of the emotions and the mind, we are internally still in a state of fulfilled "Beingness" i.e. meditation.
